Catch the Vision

First I want to thank God for who he is and for being the one constant in these rapidly changing times (Malachi 3:6; Hebrews 13:8). God continues to show himself faithful, even when I/we have been unfaithful.

We have been given a charge and a commission to be witnesses unto Christ starting at home first, and then unto the utmost parts of the world. I envision every member being a disciple for Christ; equipped to present Christ Jesus in the power of the Holy Spirit, that men shall come to put their trust in God through him, to accept him as their savior and serve him as their king in the fellowship of his Church.

We have the promises of both assurance and power to accomplish our task (Matthew 28:18-20); Acts 1:8). God has committed to us the word of reconciliation (2 Corinthians 5:18-19) with all that is within us; we want to engage in telling mankind everywhere about the love of God, and his saving grace. With today's technology and multimedia systems available to us, we have an awesome opportunity to share the good news of the Gospel of Jesus Christ to a lost world.

God desires to reveal himself to mankind, the world needs to know that he is not willing that any soul should be lost. For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believes in him should not perish, but have everlasting life (John 3:16).

Each of us have been given a charge to be the salt and light in a decaying and dark world. I want to encourage and challenge each of you to catch the vision of making disciples for Christ. The work will include prayer and preparation (training) in order to be effective witnesses in sharing the good news of the Gospel of Christ to the world.

The Apostle Paul instructs us to grow in grace and in the knowledge of the Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Fight the good fight of faith. (2 Timothy 4:7), and finish strong. When the battle has been fought and the victory won, we want to hear God say well done good and faithful servant (Matthew 25:21).

May peace and blessings be multiplied unto you.

But the word of the Lord endureth for ever. And this is the word which by the gospel is preached unto you.
1 Peter 1:25
